Neon Dash
Privacy policy
Last updated: September 20, 2026
This policy explains what information the mobile game Neon Dash ("the game") uses, why it's used, and the choices you have. Neon Dash is made by Amirus ("we", "us").
- You can play without creating an account or giving us your name or email.
- Online features (leaderboards, cloud backup, friend challenges and live races) run on Unity Gaming Services. Your install gets a random, anonymous player ID.
- We don't sell your data, and we don't use it to build advertising profiles.
- You can ask us to delete your data at any time. See Delete your data.
What we collect and why
| Data | What it is | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Player ID | A random ID created by Unity Authentication the first time you play online. | Lets the online features recognise you without a real-name account. |
| Player name | The name you choose in the game (by default "RUNNER" plus a number). | Shown on leaderboards, challenge codes and live races. |
| Scores | Your scores, with each run's distance, play time and bosses beaten. | Leaderboards. The server uses the run details to reject impossible scores. |
| Game progress | Coins, crafts, upgrades, areas reached, season pass progress and similar game data. | Cloud backup, so you keep your progress if you reinstall or change phones. |
| Recorded runs | Your craft's position along the track during a run you share as a challenge. | Shown as a "ghost" to friends who enter your challenge code. |
| Live race data | Your player name and position during a live race. | Shown to the other players in that race. |
| Unity account (optional) | If you sign in under Settings > Cloud save, Unity Player Accounts handles the sign-in. We receive a sign-in token, never your password. | Lets your backup follow you to another device. |
| Technical data | App version, and the device and installation identifiers Unity's services need to work. | Delivering game settings and keeping the online features running. |
The game doesn't access your contacts, photos, files, microphone, camera or location. It doesn't show ads and has no in-app purchases that charge real money. If that changes, we'll update this policy before the update is released.
Who processes the data
The online features run on Unity Gaming Services (Authentication, Leaderboards, Cloud Save, Cloud Code, Remote Config and Lobby), provided by Unity Technologies. Unity processes the data above on our behalf. Unity's privacy policy is at unity.com/legal/privacy-policy.
We don't share your data with anyone else, except where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Leaderboard scores: daily and weekly boards reset on their own schedule. All-time scores are kept while that leaderboard exists.
- Cloud backup: kept until you ask us to delete it.
- Recorded runs: kept so shared challenge codes keep working, until you ask us to delete them.
- Live races: the race lobby and positions are removed automatically shortly after the race ends.
Your choices
- Play offline. Everything except the online features works without a connection.
- Change your name. You can change your player name at any time on the Compete screen.
- Delete your data. Follow the steps on Delete your data, and we'll remove your online data within 30 days.
- Access or correct your data. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA in California), you can also ask for a copy of your data or ask us to correct it. Email us, and we'll reply within 30 days.
Children
Neon Dash isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you think a child has used the online features, email us and we'll delete their data.
Security
Data travels between the game and Unity Gaming Services over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Only the Amirus team can reach the Unity dashboard where it's stored.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll also say so in the game.
